Hobson Prior are working closely with a leading biopharmaceutical company who are seeking an Associate Director for Financial Planning & Reporting. Our Client has seen significant growth and development over the past few years, with continued expansion as they launch and supply new and existing medicines to their patients.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities

  • For this role, you will manage the financial planning and forecasting for the site across all business areas.
  • It is the responsibility of the Associate Director to provide clear and effective guidance to the team to ensure their success and to achieve the financial goals of the organization.
  • Work diligently with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate month-end close.
  • Spearhead the development and execution of annual financial business plans for both the site and distinct business areas, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and financial targets.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to provide insightful financial analysis and guidance and strive to enhance their financial literacy and understanding to empower them to make sound financial decisions independently.
  • Oversee product costing activities for the entire site while ensuring competitiveness, profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls over inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support during internal and external audit processes, collaborating with audit teams to facilitate smooth and efficient audits.
  • Initiate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the financial competitiveness and performance of the organization.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial management and accounting practices, the ideal candidate will hold relevant professional qualifications.
  • Possess extensive experience in accounting roles with a track record of success post qualifications.
  • Have experience and a deep understanding of manufacturing industry dynamics and practices.
